Mission & Vision

Building safer migration decisions through prevention, data and community protection.

ASMI-Cameroun’s mission is to prevent human trafficking, fake international job offers, cyber-employment scams and unsafe migration by combining verified information, community awareness, survivor-sensitive orientation and data-driven prevention.

Our direction is clear.

Prevent exploitation before it happens.

To protect communities from trafficking and unsafe migration through verified information and data-driven prevention.

ASMI-Cameroun works to prevent exploitation by helping young people, families, job seekers, migrants, returnees and diaspora communities identify warning signs, verify opportunities, avoid deceptive recruitment networks and access safer guidance before making migration-related decisions.

A Cameroon where migration choices are safe, informed, dignified and protected from exploitation.

We envision communities where no young person is forced into danger because of false promises, lack of verified information, poverty-driven pressure, online deception or manipulation by trafficking networks.

What ASMI-Cameroun is working to achieve.

01

Prevent exploitation before migration

Educate communities on safe migration, fake job offers, suspicious recruiters, upfront payment scams and unrealistic travel promises.

02

Strengthen data-driven risk mapping

Collect ethical field signals through tools such as KoboToolbox and transform aggregated data into prevention insights.

03

Support survivor-sensitive orientation

Promote safe referrals, confidentiality, peer support logic and anti-retrafficking awareness without exposing survivor identities.

04

Build institutional partnerships

Produce credible reports and prevention intelligence for partners, authorities, NGOs, donors, embassies and international organizations.

Three pillars guide ASMI-Cameroun’s work.

ASMI-Cameroun combines community prevention, survivor-sensitive orientation and evidence-based advocacy to build a scalable protection model.

01

Data-driven prevention

Risk surveys, field signals, scam typology analysis and dashboard reporting help identify unsafe migration patterns before they grow.

02

Survivor reintegration orientation

ASMI-Cameroun promotes confidentiality, safe referral logic, peer support and dignity-centered guidance for returnees and affected families.

03

National policy advocacy

Aggregated evidence, prevention insights and risk briefs can support public authorities, embassies, NGOs, donors and international partners.

Prevention first

We focus on stopping exploitation before people are trapped by deceptive offers.

Evidence-based action

We use data and field observations to understand risk patterns and support better decisions.

Confidentiality

We protect sensitive information and do not publish personal survivor details online.

Turning prevention intelligence into institutional collaboration.

ASMI-Cameroun’s long-term direction is to produce practical prevention evidence that can support public authorities, embassies, development partners, NGOs, diaspora networks and international organizations.

The goal is not only to raise awareness, but to build a trusted civil society platform capable of contributing field-based insights to safer migration policy, protection coordination and anti-trafficking prevention.
